    I placed my order on 09/06/09 for a furniture set worth close to $2500, and my card was charged instantly. It was something I absolutely had to receive before my son’s birthday on 09/26; one would thing three weeks are ample time for that. On 09/08, Home Decorators sent me an email saying that the love seat from the set is not in stock and cannot ship until two months later. I was willing to substitute the love seat with a chair that they had, but they said I can’t,and I will have to go through the hoops of a cancellation of everything, a refund and reorder. So long story short they told me I will not see my money on my card until five days from today which is 09/15/09, which is over a week after I placed the order. Needless to say I do not have yet another $2500 laying around to reorder another set now. That means I would only be left with 10 days to reorder and receive another set before my son’s birthday- a logistical absurd. So basically they would have my money trapped for over a week for something THEY DID NOT HAVE AND WERE NOT ABOUT TO HAVE WITHIN THE NEXT TWO MONTHS!!!! IT SHOULD BE ILLEGAL FOR THEM TO CHARGE MY CARD TO BEGIN WITH FOR SOMETHING THEY FALSELY ADVERTIZED AS AVAILABLE!!!! My previous experience with the company hasn’t been much better- long delays, items not in stock, lego-style assembly of furniture. This is the last time I am ordering from them.
